Nepean Hospital
Stage 1
WSce, engaged by Health Infrastructure, provided a staged design for fire and hydraulic services, covering schematic design to post-construction defects.
Overview
Nepean Hospital is undergoing a significant expansion and upgrade to meet future healthcare needs. The completed Stage 1 tower includes new facilities such as an expanded Emergency Department, operating theatres, birthing suites, and a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. With a $1 billion investment from the NSW Government, this redevelopment aims to deliver a contemporary, integrated hospital and community-based health service, improving access to high-quality care for communities in western Sydney and the Blue Mountains.
Our role
Health Infrastructure engaged WSce to undertake a staged design process covering Fire and Hydraulic Services through to the end of the defects liability period post-construction completion. We completed our scope of work after Schematic Design, whereby HI engaged CPB to deliver the works under an ECI contract. During the design process, we also completed the campus-wide in-ground infrastructure schematic design for both Fire and Hydraulic Services.
