Sydney Nanoscience Hub
The Australian Institute of Nanoscale Science and Technology stands as a pinnacle in global laboratories dedicated to nanoscience and nanotechnology.
Overview
The Australian Institute of Nanoscale Science and Technology (AINST) is a state-of-the-art facility dedicated to the exploration of nanoscience and nanotechnology. It is located at the University of Sydney and serves as a hub for cutting-edge research and innovation in the field of nanotechnology. The institute aims to advance our understanding of materials and devices at the nanoscale and to develop new technologies with potential applications in various industries.
Our role
Our engagement in this project involved overcoming key design challenges to ensure its success. Coordinating services in grey spaces demanded meticulous planning to optimise functionality while maintaining aesthetic considerations.
Designing water and drainage systems for ISO Class 5 and 7 clean rooms required precision to meet stringent cleanliness standards, ensuring a controlled environment for sensitive processes and implementing effective drainage and irrigation solutions for the green roof balanced environmental sustainability with efficient water management. Additionally, managing the Sydney Water 1200 Dia Stormwater Main diversion traversing the site required strategic planning and collaboration to minimise disruptions.
