Overview
Chatswood’s state-of-the-art theatre, a centrepiece of the $170 million arts centre, boasts a 500-seat capacity, raked seating on two levels, an expansive stage with an orchestra pit, 40m high fly towers, and dressing rooms on two levels. With cutting-edge lighting and sound equipment, this theatre stands as the epitome of technological advancement in Sydney’s performing arts scene.
Our role
WSce was responsible for the fire and hydraulic services from the initial design phase through to the construction stage. On the hydraulic front, the scope covered essential elements such as sewer drainage within the building, trade waste drainage, subsoil drainage, sanitary plumbing, domestic cold water service, rainwater reuse service, domestic hot water service, and natural gas service.
For the fire services, WSce managed the fire sprinkler system, fire hose reel service, fire hydrant service, fire alarm service, emergency warning and intercom system (EWIS), and fire extinguishers. This comprehensive involvement ensured a seamless integration of hydraulic and fire systems to meet the project’s requirements.
